Whether it is your favorite local singer songwriter or the latest top forty single, songwriting is at the root of every aspect of the music industry. As part of Wild Oak Records, the Songwriters Guild is a student run organization that promotes and provides an outlet for the craft of songwriting.

The Songwriters Guild is a tool and resource for songwriters. We hold weekly workshops where you can read or play your material for constructive feedback. During these songwriter nights, we hope that artists can benefit from comments and suggestions from the other songwriters who attend the workshops. If you are already in a band, consider participating in workshops as a possible side-project and for good practice.

Songwriters Guild workshops are also a place to network with other musicians, and a place for possible collaborations. The Songwriters Guild sponsors other events such as songwriter showcases which feature artists from our workshops, performance based songwriter competitions, and open mic nights.
